How to Have a Dream Disney World Trip

Guess where I’ve been over 25 times? It’s the most magical place on Earth! Yes, of course, it’s Disney World! Most of the time, I’ve been with my family during our yearly vacation. I’ve also traveled there with my boyfriend’s family. I’m not sure the next time I will get to go as I’m told I will now have to pay as an adult, so if anyone would like to take me on a trip to Disney World, please do! Just kidding, of course, but maybe not?

I had the wonderful privilege of enrolling in a course at Indiana University called Disney: Tech, Tourism, & Leisure, where we spoke about how Disney World theme parks employ technology to instill morals in its attractions, performances, and experiences. We had the opportunity to visit Walt Disney World together as a class at the end of the semester to put what we had learnt into practice. We participated in a variety of programs offered by Disney World’s educational program while we were there, as well as a full-day behind-the-scenes tour. If you attend Indiana University, I definitely recommend taking this course since it provides a unique viewpoint on Disney World. I thoroughly loved my time with the class, including the trip!

Come see what I’ve uncovered at Disney World, where magic can be found around every corner!

Where to Stay

My family normally stays at a Moderate hotel, like the Port Orleans (French Quarter or Riverside) or Coronado Springs. Coronado Springs at Walt Disney World is my favorite moderate-level resort. The grounds are lovely, with the lake reflecting the surroundings throughout the day and glittering brilliantly at night. These newly renovated rooms are efficient, contemporary, and even a touch Disney World-inspired. The primary swimming pool is themed to be located atop the remains of an old Mayan pyramid. I normally like to have one non-Disney World park day where I can swim part of the day. Also, the majority of Disney World Resorts provide movies seven days a week. This resort has several lounges, sit-down restaurants, fast-casual choices, and grab-and-go alternatives. Toledo–Tapas, Steak & Seafood offers exquisite dining with breathtaking views in Gran Destino Tower. Make a reservation for one night of your stay at this table service restaurant!

I’ve stayed at other hotels in different price ranges, but whichever you pick, I highly recommend staying at a Disney World resort.

Random Tips

  • Visit during off season and not on a holiday if you want to get on as many rides as possible. If you want to experience the holidays, you must realize that you will not get on every ride you want. You will have to prioritize. For me, I don’t think the holidays are as worth it if you are visiting for the first time. I would rather do as much as possible. But for someone who has been already, the holidays do have spectacular decor, food, and special events!
  • Try Mickey-shaped snacks! My favorites are Mickey waffles, which are available everywhere. Before a fantastic day at the parks, my personal favorite place to grab them is at our Disney World Resort quick-service breakfast. Also, I recommend eating breakfast before the park every day.
  • One of my favorite things is that you may acquire a complimentary celebration button at resort guest relations offices whether it’s your first time there, you’re celebrating a birthday, an anniversary, getting married, a graduation, or any other occasion. Once when I was wearing a birthday pin, I was given a free dessert at a sit-down restaurant. Also, the TV displayed “Happy birthday Brett & Jordan” when we arrived in our room. The Disney World Cast Members (staff) try to make your visit extra special if you’re celebrating something!
  • I mentioned this earlier, but definitely take a non-park day to go swimming and exploring Disney Springs!
  • If you are visiting for the first time, especially with younger kids, it’s worth it to book one character dining meal. This way, you won’t have to wait in any long lines for pictures. For example, you could do this on your rest day for breakfast since you will have more time!
  • You should book dining 60 days in advance! While some eateries won’t be fully booked 60 days in advance, others are immediately booked up as reservations become available. Try to schedule such reservations near the conclusion of your vacation if you want to get one of those most sought-after ones (think: Be Our Guest or Cinderella’s Royal Table). If your vacation is from the 14th to the 20th of a month, for example, anybody whose trip precedes yours but includes your early days will have been able to book dining reservations for the 14th and 15th 60 days prior — precisely, before you can even start accessing dining reservations.
  • MagicBands are no longer free, so bring old ones if you still have them. New ones could be a souvenir from your trip or you can use your My Disney Experience App for your tickets.
  • My favorite Disney World souvenirs are Pins and yes I still have mine from when I was a little kid. I also participate in Pin Trading with Cast Members
  • If coffee is your thing, visit a Starbucks in a Disney World park. Why I’m really directing you there is for the gorgeous, unique cups that Disney World only sells! I adore the unique Disney World Starbucks cups, no joke, and I wish I bought one!

Schedule Overviews

This itinerary for exploring the parks contains certain assumptions. The first is that you’ll be there when the park opens since you want to make the most of your day. Another is that you want to see and experience as much as you can. Your ability may vary depending on the ages in your group because these itineraries make for very busy and lengthy days. The order in which you complete the rides and attractions can be somewhat flexible, but the overall suggested sequence of activities should adhere to a similar formula.

Thanks to the launch of Disney Early Theme Park Entry, rope drop at any of the Disney parks is now considerably different. It is critical that you comprehend Disney Early Entry and how it can affect your trip if you haven’t already. The short explanation is that certain rides may be accessed 30 minutes prior to park opening for those staying at a Disney resort. Therefore, Disney resort guests can ride the rides at 8:30 am if the park opens at 9:00 am. This means that the only people who can ever benefit from rope drop are visitors to a Disney resort. To avoid waiting in line, arrive at the location at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time. You can achieve more in a morning the closer you are to the front of the queue.

For those of you familiar with FastPass, it has been replaced with Disney Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes access, which costs money. By making a reservation, you may effectively skip the line if you have them. Lightning Lane entry charges vary based on the attraction and day, whereas Disney Genie+ is $15 per person per day. However, I wanted to offer you a general concept of how you can accomplish anything you want to do without spending extra money. You may still choose to get Disney Genie+ or Lightning Lane access. If you do, book it at 7 am the day of your visit!

I have experience using both, and to be honest, I hate it. Disney has made it very difficult to get on every ride, where it used to be much easier with FastPasses. I didn’t love Genie+ because the rides that I actually cared about sold out pretty fast, and you aren’t guaranteed the rides you want, even though you are paying extra. However, the most popular rides are not included in the Genie+ Lightning Lanes; they are separate in the Individual Lightning Lanes. We only bought these because it was super busy during Christmas time when we visited. I would try to get on the ride first with Rope Drop. If you are visiting during a holiday, you may want to pay for these services.

Animal Kingdom in 1 Day Itinerary

Animal Kingdom is much more than just a glorified zoo, despite the misconception that many visitors have about it. Here is my suggestion for a perfect 1-day schedule for an enjoyable day at Animal Kingdom.

With one major exception, I don’t believe Disney Genie+ in Animal Kingdom should cost more. There are simply not enough rides to make it worthwhile. There’s really no need for it if you employ a sound Animal Kingdom approach, either. The significant exception I alluded to is Flight of Passage. Purchase Lightning Lane access for Flight of Passage if you can’t rope drop it and the line is too lengthy.

Morning

  1. Flight of Passage: I love Avatar! Even if you haven’t seen Avatar, it is still one of the best rides! Every time I have the privilege of riding Flight of Passage, my legs feel like jello. The attraction vehicle BREATHES under you. Literally! Who gives an attraction that much attention? (Of course, only Disney.) This ride’s sights, sounds, scents, and pictures are unlike anything I’ve ever encountered outside of reality. For the length of the journey, fiction turns into reality here.
  2. Na’vi River Journey (Unless the wait is more than 30 minutes; if it is, wait till later): Basically, Na’vi River Journey is It’s a Small World with the Avatar theme. Everyone should attempt to ride it at least once because it is a visually amazing experience. You probably won’t need to ride it again after that first time.
  3. Expedition Everest: The larger the roller coaster, the better for me. Here, Expedition Everest is not an exception. I have and can ride it repeatedly without getting tired of it. It’s a fantastic attraction to visit because you may frequently ride it again as a walk-on attraction using the Single Rider Line!
  4. Kilimanjaro Safari: Kilimanjaro Safari can be really successful or unsuccessful, I’ll confess it. Even still, it is one of the top attractions because when it is a hit, it is an HIT. I strongly advise you to avoid midday when riding the Safari. The animals are also sheltering from the heat because it is simply too hot for them. The best run I’ve ever had was in the pouring rain, however I’ve also had some amazing ones early in the morning (before 11) and at dusk.
  5. Dinosaur: The only good ride in all of Dinoland is Dinosaur. Although it’s a fun ride, little children may find it frightening. The ride really “throws” you around in the dark the entire time.

Afternoon

  1. Lunch at Satu’li Canteen (11-11:30 am to avoid lines): Satu’li Canteen is my favorite Quick Service restaurant! There are exclusive options at Satu’li Canteen that you won’t find at any other parks. Aside from that, the meal is quite reasonably priced, the theming of the restaurant is spot on, and it has excellent selections for individuals with particular dietary needs. My brother has so many food allergies and he loves this place! He gets a meal that’s different from things he can normally eat, and it’s delicious! I build a different bowl each time and they’re all amazing!
  2. Festival of the Lion King: In my opinion, Lion King is indisputably the best Disney animated film. The Lion King Festival is a 30-minute live stage production with planned start times throughout the day. It’s a nice location to rest and relax for a while, but it’ll keep you hooked for the duration of the show. This performance has it all: audience participation (which I always loved being the center of attention as a kid), massive animatronics, fantastic singing and performing, flying Tumble Monkeys, acrobatics, and much more. Near the show, there are sometimes street performers!
  3. It’s Tough to Be a Bug: I find this to be a cute film, although youngsters might find it a little unsettling. When I was young, I ran out of the theater. Now I love taking people that have never been to see their reaction. Given that it is a 4D experience, certain surprises will pop out at you and may terrify you. Also, it’s located in the Tree of Life!
  4. Kali River Rapids: It’s possible to get completely saturated from head to toe in this attraction. Maybe not. You simply can’t know. Consider packing flip flops for the family to wear on the ride before changing back into your regular shoes, if you decide to ride it. Sometimes I wear a poncho because I don’t care if people judge me for it. I don’t get embarrassing water marks on my clothes and I stay clean from probably dirty water!
  5. Maharajah Jungle Trek and Gorilla Expedition Falls: These two attractions provide the impression of a fantastic zoo; the degree of attention done into the trails and the exhibits is outstanding.

Evening

  1. Dinner at Yak & Yeti (4:30 pm in order to ride more rides with shorter times): You are missing out if you haven’t eaten here. The atmosphere, people, and cuisine are consistently good. There’s something for everyone, from their savory meal to the superb sweets and specialty cocktails. It’s my brother’s favorite since it’s the first place he’s been able to have Asian food with all of his food allergies. Therefore, be sure to include this on your list of things to do when visiting Disney World’s Animal Kingdom. You won’t be let down…
  2. At dusk, go on a Kilimanjaro safari.
  3. In complete darkness, ascend Expedition Everest.
  4. Explore Pandora.
  5. Ride Flight of Passage right before closing.

Animal Kingdom Advice

  • The rear walkway between Pandora and Africa is frequently peaceful if you need to escape the masses for a short time.
  • In Africa, you may purchase a Dole Whip. I’ve said enough.
  • Sometimes the park opens before Kali River Rapids does.
  • Gorilla Falls Expedition and the Maharajah Jungle Trek typically close before the rest of the park. Be careful to schedule these earlier in the day.
  • The colder morning hours and nightfall are when the animals are the most active. Visit animal-based attractions if you want to have a better experience with animals.
  • Children may enrich their day at Animal Kingdom for free with the Wilderness Explorers program.

Epcot in 1 Day Itinerary

Compared to all the other parks, Epcot is special. It’s simple to become overwhelmed with the rides, festivals, nations, and cuisine. The truth is that Epcot offers a wide variety of activities. I’ve been to different Epcot festivals, and I highly recommend going during one.

A word of caution: Epcot involves a lot of walking. You have to zigzag the park to get to attractions with shorter queues or to break up long periods in World Showcase. However, I will try to keep the walking to a minimum and write this from my experience entering at the Main Entrance, not the International Plaza. Always check the waits for rides and if they are too long, skip it and come back later. Also, in Epcot, if I’m having trouble going into Remy’s without an exorbitant wait, I’d probably be more tempted to get the Lightning Lane access.

Please take note that I am still unsure of how Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will affect this. I don’t know if a standby line will be made available. Currently, you must join a virtual queue through the My Disney Experience app, so this will change the itinerary depending on the time of your ride reservation.

Morning

  1. Test Track: Test Track is, in my opinion, a genuinely wonderful attraction. It allows for imaginative automobile design, a heart-pumping ride, and it pulls out your competitive side when the vehicle rankings appear following each test. Additionally, use the single rider queue if Test Track’s sometimes unpleasant wait times are keeping you away.
  2. Soarin’: Savor the splendor of the sights and smells that Soarin’ takes you through. I get to observe magnificent global wonders from a vantage point that I would not otherwise have when I ride Soarin’. Every time I see Soarin, I am reminded of how little I am and how many options this vast globe has to offer.
  3. Frozen Ever After or Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure: Take a journey to Norway and then meet Anna and Elsa in “Frozen Ever After.” As you enter the World Showcase, turn left. After passing through Mexico, you’ll arrive in Norway. Alternatively, to board Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, walk around World Showcase in the opposite direction, toward France. Ride whichever one has a shorter line or one you’re more excited for!
  4. Gran Fiesta Tour: You will like this vibrant and colorful boat excursion for sure!

Afternoon

  1. Throughout the World, eat and drink: Start exploring the World Showcase and eating at the outdoor eateries as you go. Take a look around the stores and some of the movies. Don’t worry about thoroughly visiting each nation this time around. Later, you’ll come back through. Visit the Regal Eagle Smokehouse in the American Adventure if you want something a little more traditional. It’s Epcot’s top fast service establishment and they are really good with food allergies! Also, some countries have street performers!
  2. Journey Into Imagination: The tunes and this adorable purple dragon are always a hit with the younger crowd! Disclaimer: I don’t enjoy this ride as much as I used to. It irritates me after a while and is a little boring. However, I am aware that many people, especially children, like it. Try it out for yourself if you haven’t been on it before.
  3. Living with the Land: The entire family will enjoy yet another boat trip (Disney definitely does love its boat rides)! I enjoyed the ride itself to relax when I was young, while now that I’m older, I enjoy learning about how things develop.
  4. The Seas with Nemo and Friends: Such a cute ride! You follow Nemo’s family’s and pals’ journey through the tale. When Nemo and his friends are seen swimming with actual fish, that’s my favorite part! It also has a very cool turtle bubble tunnel!
  5. Turtle Talk with Crush: What a fantastic thing! People of all ages will adore this as well! You can truly communicate with Crush, one of my favorite Finding Nemo characters!
  6. Explore SeaBase: Who doesn’t like aquariums? This one is also fantastic! Watching the scuba divers swim and the dolphins frolic was my favorite activity when I was younger.
  7. Spaceship Earth: Any person will remain attentive on this leisurely journey! I’m sure you will appreciate that there’s a lot to look at and it’s interactive!
  8. Mission SPACE: I’m not going to lie, this ride makes me sick. I am a thrill seeker, but this takes it to another level. If you ride the intense version and move your head at all, you will not feel well for a very long time. The less intense version isn’t really worth it either. So unless you really want to, I would skip this one!
  9. Soarin’: Ride if you missed it earlier or again if the wait time is low!
  10. Test Track: Ride if you missed it earlier or again if the wait time is low!

Evening

  1. Return to what you missed in World Showcase: Especially look out for Frozen Ever After or Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure!
  2. Dinner at Rose & Crown Pub (8 pm): I’ve successfully spent a whole day at Epcot without ever having to eat in a restaurant. There are simply a ton of kiosks around the park. However, I can also appreciate it if you choose to dine at one of the fantastic Epcot restaurants. It’s an extremely tough decision. I enjoy Rose & Crown Pub a lot and you can view the fireworks from here! You must make a reservation in advance for this such as an 8 pm reservation for 9 pm fireworks.
  3. Harmonious Fireworks: I really advise seeing it if you haven’t already. I normally don’t recommend the Epcot fireworks/shows, but this one is worth it!

Hollywood Studios in 1 Day Itinerary

It makes me sad because my boyfriend didn’t have time to visit this park, and I know he would love this one! During Disney trips, Hollywood Studios is a sought-after destination. A thorough Hollywood Studios itinerary is necessary as a result. You’ll find that having a plan makes your day much simpler.

Aside from that, if Rise of the Resistance is a must-ride for you (which it should be), I would at the very least try to purchase a single Lightning Lane. You must do this immediately at 7 am or it will be sold out! Then you can concentrate on other rides during rope drop if you do this. Although it’s not free, it’s simple. Arrive in the park at least one hour before the start of Early Entry (ideally more) if you want to rope drop Rise of the Resistance rather than paying for Lightning Lane! Realistically, you might need 2 days for Hollywood Studios, if possible.

Side Note about Galaxy’s Edge: If you are of legal drinking age and a Star Wars fan, make a reservation at Oga’s Cantina ASAP! They have the coolest drinks and feel very exclusive. I loved the Fuzzy Tauntaun! When it comes to booking places at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, you might want to consider Savi’s Workshop and the Droid Depot. Because everyone aspires to be Luke Skywalker, you should probably create your own lightsaber. But if R2D2 was one of your favorite characters (apart from baby Yoda! ), you’ll want to personalize your own Droid as well. These activities are extremely popular, yet very expensive!

Morning

  1. Rise of the Resistance: Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is unquestionably the best ride in Batuu (and the rest of the world). Buckle up for this high-tech and chaotic ride. I do not want to spoil anything about this ride because I went in clueless and it was the most amazing experience EVER!
  2. Millennium Falcon Smuggler’s Run: “Bring ’em on!” The game Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run will be something you should try out. You may play space pilot in your very own spacecraft at this motion simulator attraction and travel across the galaxy of stars. Be prepared to labor for your valuables since every passenger on your spacecraft is essential to helping you fulfill your smuggler’s mission. No duty is unimportant. However, I really recommend being the pilot or gunner (the engineer is not as fun)!
  3. Toy Story Mania: Another attraction that makes me smile from ear to ear is Toy Story Mania, especially if I’ve defeated my family (which I usually do). Take this as a warning for competitive people.
  4. Star Tours: Constantly check the Star Tours wait time. It frequently changes. Additionally, depending on where portion you are placed in, there are over 50 possible combinations of the ride. So take it several times!

Afternoon

  • Lunch at Ronto Roasters: I adore Ronto Roasters so much because of the Ronto Wrap. For everyone who enjoys sausage, it is definitely worth it. You should probably find somewhere else to dine if you don’t like sausage.
  • Galaxy’s Edge: Explore the shops or go to one of the reservations that I mentioned earlier! I knew someone that built the lightsaber and said the experience was amazing! The quality is also better than the normal lightsabers they sell (I held it)! Even if you don’t build a droid, you can still see the shop where they hold the sessions. However, you will not be able to see inside Oga’s Cantina without a reservation. I also just want to emphasize how AMAZING this whole area is!!!
  • Beauty & the Beast Live on Stage: This is my favorite show that I make sure to see each time. It’s a classic! You will have to check the show times, but don’t wait more than 30 minutes! However, the seats do fill up fast.
  • Frozen Singalong: This is super cute if you love Frozen. If not, you might want to skip it!
  • Muppet Vision 3D: When I was younger and there were less things to do in Hollywood Studios, I would watch this show about 20 times each visit! It was my favorite. Now it’s just very nostalgic!
  • Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular: This is a good show if you’ve never seen it before. They used to use audience participation, but stopped during COVID. I hope they bring that back soon!

Evening

  • Dinner at 50’s Prime Time Cafe (4:30-5:30 pm): In a kitchen setting at 50’s Prime Time Cafe, you’ll be dining at your aunts’, uncles’, or cousins’ table. The wait staff addresses you as family and treats you as such. Not as a visitor, but as an expectation that you “come on and do your bit.”
  • Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway: You undoubtedly imagined the ride would be suitable for families when you heard that Mickey and Minnie would be at its core. Disney Imagineering could have ended it there, but they chose not to. This attraction is jam-packed with sceneries and effects that set it apart from the majority of other Walt Disney World attractions. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone, so I’ll leave it at that!
  • Rock n Roller Coaster: I adore roller coasters! Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster has to be included on your trip since it is the only coaster at Walt Disney World that flips upside down. I love Aerosmith and enjoy the music, despite being in my early 20s.
  • Tower of Terror: This ride is a classic! I still remember my brother being terrified from the backstory film, but now he loves it! I always fly out of my seat on the drops. Sometimes the Cast Members get really into character for this ride, which is always fun!
  • Slinky Dog Dash: Slinky is a LOT of laugh-out-loud FUN, even if it won’t flip you upside down or pin you to your seat. Slinky Dog Dash is lengthy and adaptable, and the speed control works nicely. A significant thrill can sometimes come from carefully navigating a massive curve up high.

Magic Kingdom in 1 Day Itinerary

It would be a pity to miss out on the park because it is so stunning and intricate. This is the park people think of when they hear “Disney” because of how classic it is with the castle. There is so much to do here, and you probably won’t get on everything, but you can still get on a lot!

There are many ways to get to the Magic Kingdom. My family normally drives to the Ticket and Transportation Center. Then we take the monorail because it is faster. However, I have taken the bus there, too. I prefer not to take the bus so I can arrive as early as possible.

Morning

  1. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train: The line for this ride grows quite quickly. Skip this and wait until right before the park closes if you can’t make it for rope drop.
  2. Peter Pan’s Flight: Later in the day, there is typically a huge wait for Peter Pan’s Flight, so now is an excellent time to board. This ride is a pure classic! When I was younger, I had a huge crush on Peter Pan, so this was my favorite ride!
  3. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad: I just (more recently than I would like to confess) discovered the tale of the railroad’s abandonment: the mining town flooded, forcing everyone to evacuate. The entire town is submerged; a goat is even perched on a building’s roof to stay out of the water. I must have missed everything there for several years. But now that I know it, every time I ride, it seems like I see something new!
  4. Splash Mountain: The length of this journey is one of its amazing qualities. You’re going on early enough, though, that it shouldn’t have an effect on the rides you go to following. I do want to point out that thankfully they are changing the theme to “The Princess and the Frog” in 2024!
  5. Pirates of the Caribbean: My dad always sings along to this song. It’s one of our favorites!
  6. Jungle Cruise: This has had longer waits because of the new movie, so if it’s too long, check back later in the day!
  7. Haunted Mansion: In the morning, the lines for the Haunted Mansion usually remain short. It just continues to move, allowing for quick turnaround. I used to be scared of this ride when I was younger because I thought one of the Cast Members looked like a ghost that followed me out.
  8. Dole Whip as a morning snack: You must get Dole Whip at some point from Aloha Isle! It’s dairy free, so it’s a perfect treat for my IBS and it’s free of allergens for my brother!
  9. It’s a Small World: The song will get stuck in your head, but it’s a classic!

Afternoon

  1. Space Mountain: Even with its occasionally creaky track, I enjoy WDW’s Space Mountain despite criticisms that it needs urgent upgrades and improvements. Every time, the music and soundtrack do something to me. I have the MOST FUN on this journey. The Tetris-like structure that twists around itself is even more impressive now that I’ve seen it (through PeopleMover) with the lights on. It’s an exhilarating roller coaster.
  2. Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin: I don’t like this one as much as Toy Story Mania, but it’s another competitive game. The guns don’t always work, which is very frustrating for me as a very competitive person.
  3. Lunch at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe: Close to Splash Mountain in Frontierland is the Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe. Southwest cuisine is included on the menu, including nachos, fajitas, and tacos. They can handle food allergies!
  4. Country Bear Jamboree: You will enjoy the singing bears, and you will welcome a break from the heat and the congestion! I’ll be honest: This isn’t Disney’s top attraction. However, I still enjoy it, so on a hot day, give it a try.
  5. PeopleMover: The PeopleMover is a treasure in the Magic Kingdom, and that fact should go without saying. PeopleMover is the ideal attraction, as my brother would say, and he isn’t mistaken. It’s a decent length, never has a large line, and allows you an opportunity to unwind, chill out, and enjoy your Disney party’s company (or your thoughts if you went alone…or simply wanted some alone time). I’m not judging. Everybody reaches that stage. PeopleMover is recognized for providing a good power sleep and the sporadic, unusual opportunity to see Space Mountain with the lights on (wowww). It offers stunning views of the Magic Kingdom from every angle!
  6. Carousel of Progress: You will be singing “There’s a great, big, beautiful tomorrow” for the rest of the day! This ride is not only entertaining to see, but it also has a wonderful message. The tune is also rather catchy!
  7. Hall of Presidents: I always have a great nap here!
  8. Mickey’s PhilharMagic: Nothing about Mickey’s PhilharMagic is monotonous. It’s a positive, humorous journey. This 4-D display, which combines a 3-D film with interactive components like fragrances and splashes, is another attraction with short wait periods. I always make time for Mickey’s PhilharMagic no matter how brief my stay at Disney is.
  9. Under the Sea: The music, the narrative, and the hues! You will undoubtedly appreciate this on your trip; it truly gives you the impression that you are a part of this beloved film. Don’t ride if the lines are long.
  10. Dumbo: This ride is excellent for a variety of reasons. Let’s begin by talking about the ride itself. It’s a fairly easy ride. It simply revolves around. However, you may adjust the height. So you can make it go very high if you want more of a rush! Keep it low to the ground if you want. It’s so much fun. The ride is a classic. Again, don’t ride if the lines are long.
  11. Winnie the Pooh: I adored Winnie the Pooh as a kid and I still adore this ride. Let me repeat myself, don’t ride if the lines are long!
  12. Prince Charming Carrousel: Essentially, this is just a routine carousel ride. But there is so much pleasure to be enjoyed here because of the extra thrill of being right next to Cinderella Castle! So it’s good for pictures or videos, but not if there’s a long line!
  13. Tea Cups: Another classic that I basically go on for a cute picture if there’s no line!

Evening

  1. Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern (5 pm): Almost every time we came to Magic Kingdom, we had supper, which is a pleasant family-style affair with fare akin to Thanksgiving dinner.
  2. Any missed rides
  3. Enchantment Fireworks (Currently at 9:20 pm): I cried when they took away the Happily Ever After fireworks because I thought they were amazing. However, these new fireworks are also amazing. And when I say fireworks, they are not just fireworks. Disney’s Imagineering does a great job with projections on the castle and now the whole Main Street USA area! Definitely don’t miss these!

Magic Kingdom Advice

  • Disney frequently inflates the wait times that are listed on the app and at the ride itself. They attempt to manage traffic by doing this. While it’s not always the case, you can usually presume that the wait time will be shorter than what is stated.
  • If the wait time is 5 to 10 minutes, walk on.
  • You will not get on everything on this list, but try not to wait more than 25 minutes, unless you really need to get on a ride!

Disney is My Happy Place

Everyone should visit Disney World, especially those who are a child at heart. It makes you long for a period when life was easier, happier, and more magical and there weren’t any concerns at all! I really hope that as a true adult now, I can still continue to go. I probably won’t be able to go every year as I have previously, but I will go as often as possible, especially with all the new things Disney World keeps adding!

  1. Fun read Jordan!! Just visited Disney a few weeks ago myself and had so much fun 🙂

  2. Wow such an in-depth post! I haven’t been to Disney World since I was a kid so this was a great refresher on what to do there. Also, that course sounds so amazing!
